The Recovery-to-Work Programme
A structured journey from recovery and readiness through placement, retention and progression.
Six stages. One accountable journey.
The programme combines employability support, practical barrier resolution, employer matching, supported work experience and retention support through the digital Recovery-to-Work Passport.
Referral & readiness
Confirm fit, establish aspirations and understand the conditions needed for a safe, realistic return to work.
Employment plan
Translate readiness into an individual employment plan with goals, target roles, milestones and support needs.
Barrier resolution
Address practical barriers such as transport, digital access, routine, documentation, confidence and workplace preparation.
Employer matching
Identify the right first employment environment — not simply the first available vacancy.
Supported placement
Prepare the workplace, candidate and support plan, then maintain structured check-ins and early-warning support.
Retention & progression
Review outcomes, support 30/60/90-day retention and decide on employment, progression or additional support.
Support continues after the placement starts.
RRS is designed around sustainable employment, not simply job entry. The programme tracks readiness, workplace experience, early-warning concerns and retention outcomes.
A living plan, not a static form.
The Passport gives candidates and RRS a structured record of goals, actions, progress and review points. Sensitive case-management information remains separate from employer-visible information.
Clear responsibilities.
Ready to explore the right route?
Candidates can learn how referrals work. Partners can talk to RRS about joining the pathway.
